What do you think of this 22. We have extensively tested EditReady, ScopeBox, and ClipWrap and can confirm all three are working in macOS 10.14. We wanted to write a quick blog post outlining Mojave support in divergent media apps, and our plans going forward. EditReady exploits the math behind it to properly convert ARRIRAW files from the ALEXA 35 into an edit-friendly codec of your choice. This includes a new gamma curve (LogC4) and wide-gamut color space (AWG4). Along with the camera, ARRI introduced the new REVEAL color science. Freshly released at the end of May, the company’s new flagship Super 35 mm cinema camera features a completely redesigned 4.6K sensor with an astonishing claimed dynamic range of 17 stops. Moreover, the 22.3 update welcomes the new ARRI ALEXA 35 to the list of supported cameras. According to Hedge, the software makes use of Canon’s own color science to provide an accurate conversion. ![]() ![]() This enables better handling of the footage during the editing process. EditReady users can now transcode this RAW data into a mezzanine file format, such as ProRes. This can be found on a vast range of Canon products, going from high-end cinema models (such as the C500 Mark II, C300 Mark III, and C200) to the 8K-capable EOS R5 C mirrorless camera. Editready does some unique features and is built as a easy/smooth transcoding tool (yes, proxies too.) I own a license, but gravitate towards Shutter Encoder. I will try to narrow the replication scenario in case Pro Apps needs it uploaded. It can take up to a few minutes to happen. Given the right data set the problem is 100% reproducible but it seems to require several files. All my machines are still on Mojave, but a few people have reported similar problems on Catalina, so it currently does not seem dependent on macOS version. The X5S camera on the Inspire 2 is fixed at 23.98. Both of my data sets are UHD 4k 8-bit 4:2:0 at 23.98, although the Arlo camera's frame rate varies. One person in our doc team has an S1 so I will ask him. EditReady is the fastest, easiest transcoding application for the Mac. I'd like to get some similar test material from an S1 or S1H since those are similar. Others have reported problems using 10-bit HEVC4k material from the EVA-1. I previously tried to reproduce it with some GH5 HEVC test material but could not. I uploaded to them various diagnostic info they requested. We created a new user account to ensure it's not user-specific (it's not). I reproduced the problem while they remotely viewed it. I just got off the phone with Pro Apps support. ![]()
